Tibetan Translator Training
The Rigpa Shedra East offers several levels of Tibetan language classes from beginner to expert levels, yet to become a fully fledged translator, it is imperative to spend a considerable amount of time in a Tibetan environment for full immersion, study and practice of the language. Prospective translators spend up to six months at a time in Tibetan exile communities in India where specific trainings, including working with tutors and attending shedras in Tibetan language, are tailored to their needs by a resident mentor.
